Zoom says it has 300 million daily users despite security issues

Zoom saw another surge in daily users this month, jumping from 200 million in March to 300 million in the past three weeks, it said in a Wednesday blog post. The numbers come from CEO Eric Yuan’s update to his 90-day security plan. Last month, Yuan said the company would Stop adding new features to zoom so that it can use its resources to troubleshoot problems such as “Zoom bombing” When uninvited participants attend your meeting.

On Wednesday, the company said its Zoom 5 update will be available in the next few days. This includes AES 256-bit GCM encryption with intrusion blocking and the ability for account administrators to choose the data center through which their video call will be routed (if they prefer to avoid a particular region).
You can also report abusive users, a feature developed by a PC Mag report earlier this week. This option will appear in the app’s new security settings menu.
