Some Zoom users reported performance issues with the video conferencing app early Sunday that prevented them from attending or holding conferences, while others complained about not being able to see or hear other participants. The failure, which apparently started at 6 a.m., appears to be focused on the UK and the east coast of the United States.

“Our team is investigating the root cause of problems with attending Zoom meetings,” said Zoom in one Tweet. “These problems appear to be limited to a subset of users.”

It was not clear how many users were affected. Zoom representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Said Zoom in a Tweet at 8:43 a.m. it solved the problem.

When the corona virus pandemic forced millions of people to stay at home in the past two months, Zoom suddenly became the preferred video meeting service: daily meeting attendees on the platform rose from 10 million in December to 200 million in December March and 300 million daily meeting participants in April.
