- Google is now selling Fitbit products in the Google Store.
- The move follows Google’s acquisition of Fitbit earlier this year.
- There are four devices available, but no accessories are offered.
Google completed the lengthy Fitbit purchase earlier this year. Now the company is offering some of its own Fitbit products in the Google Store.
Fitbit now has its own section in the Google outlet in addition to the Stadia and Pixel brands. While there are only four Fitbit products available, it wouldn’t be hard to imagine Google adding more products in the future. Sense, Versa 3, Charge 4, and Inspire 2 are currently listed – a strong first lineup that covers every corner of the Fitbit target market.
There is no indication that Google will monopolize Fitbit’s sales in the future. There are also no additional incentives to buy the wearables directly from Google, at least not at the moment.
Such as the Fitbit Sense are still available on Amazon at a slightly cheaper price. The Fitbit Versa 3 is currently also available on Amazon for the same price. Currently, Google only lists Fitbits equipmentSo you’ll need to turn to other retailers to buy accessories like tapes or screen protectors for your new wearables.
Still, the listings are a reminder that Fitbit is no longer an independent brand. It remains unclear how Google will incorporate Fitbit into its wearable program, but it remains a separate brand and yet another “member of the Google family” for now.
