Xiaomi has added a new TV to its existing Android TV range in India. The new model from Xiaomi, dubbed the Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition, comes with a 43-inch FHD screen with a thin bezel and a cheap price tag of 22,999 rupees (~ $ 313). There’s also a 32-inch HD option in the series that comes in at Rs 13,499 (~ $ 184).
Since it is an Android TV, the new Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition offers support for an extensive library of apps thanks to the integrated Google Play Store. You also get native support for Google Chromecast, Google Assistant, and Google Data Saver. The Android TV version of the Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition is Android 9 Pie, which is what you get on most Android TVs right now. Google had already announced an Android TV version based on Android 10 in December 2019. However, it may take a while before you see this update on your TVs. As a reference, the Android 9 update was only introduced for Android TVs at the end of 2019.

Even so, Xiaomi’s Android TVs have their own skin and the Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition is no different. It offers the PatchWall 3.0 user interface with support for universal search, a special sports page with Disney Plus Hotstar, improved animations, horizontal scrolling and much more. The new Xiaomi Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition has a Cortex-A53 quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage, three HDMI ports, two USB-A ports, an Ethernet port and a 3, 5mm headphone jack. For audio, the TV is equipped with 20 W speakers and DTS HD sound.
That’s all you need to know about the new Xiaomi Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition. The 32-inch version of the TV will be available from September 11 on the Xiaomi India website as well as on Amazon India. In the meantime, the 43-inch Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition will be available from September 15th through the same online outlets.
