Xiaomi will launch the Mi X flagship series alongside Mi 11 Ultra in India

  • Xiaomi will launch the Mi X series in India on April 23.
  • The company could introduce the Mi 11X and the Mi 11X Pro.
  • The phones are expected to be renamed variants of the Redmi K40 and K40 Pro Plus.

Xiaomi has just announced a brand new line of flagship phones from the Mi brand. The company will unveil the Mi X series along with the Mi 11 Ultra in India on April 23rd.

The name of the new Mi series phones may be new, but it appears that they are renamed Redmi devices that have already been launched in China. XDA developer Earlier it was reported that Xiaomi will launch the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro Plus in India as the Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro.

This means that the new Xiaomi Mi X series of phones could be equipped with triple rear cameras and 120 Hz AMOLED displays. The Redmi K40 has a Snapdragon 870 chip, while the K40 Pro Plus is powered by the Snapdragon 888. Elsewhere, both phones get a 6.67-inch screen, MIUI 12, 20-megapixel selfie snapper, and a 4,520 mAh battery. However, the main camera sensor will vary on both devices. The Vanilla Redmi K40 gets a 48MP primary shooter, while the K40 Pro Plus builds it on top of a 108MP sensor.

We’re not sure if their specs will stay the same in India when they launch under the Mi X name. Xiaomi could optimize a few things for the Indian market. However, we assume that the prices for the Mi X series will be lower than for the Mi 11 Ultra, which is supposedly the most expensive Xiaomi phone in India.
