Xiaomi will finally bring the Mi 11 Lite to India later this month

Xiaomi’s Mi Lite range has been around for some time and dates back to 2018’s Mi 8 Lite. Compared to the Mi flagship, the Lite version tends to offer various compromises, but still offers a similar high-quality design.

We’ve already got the Mi 11 Lite and Mi 11 Lite 5G in Europe, but Xiaomi has now announced that the former device will be coming to India on June 22nd at 12 PM ET (2:30 PM ET). Check out the teaser picture below.

In case you missed it, the standard Mi 11 Lite comes with a 6.55-inch 90 Hz OLED panel, Snapdragon 732G chipset, 6GB to 8GB of RAM, and 64GB to 128GB of storage. The phone also has a 4,250 mAh battery with a 33 W charge, while the camera tasks are taken over by a triple rear shooter (64 MP main shot, 8 MP ultra wide angle, 5 MP tele macro) and a 16 MP selfie snapper .

Other notable features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP53 splash protection, and MIUI 12 on Android 11. The Mi 11 Lite starts at € 299 in Europe, but Indian smartphone prices tend to be cheaper.

Either way, the Mi 11 Lite 4G is a curious release for Xiaomi when you realize that the Redmi Note 10 Pro is already on the market. The Redmi device looks like a better phone and offers the same chipset, a much larger battery, a higher refresh rate and a headphone jack (not available for the Mi 11 Lite range). But if you value a great, slim design (at 6.8 mm thin), you should keep this version in mind.
