Remember that Xiaomi officially prohibits exporting its products to the countries and regions listed where its phones are banned. However, it appears that Xiaomi is only tracking active gray market smugglers who take their phones to forbidden markets and resell them. It apparently looks the other way when people simply buy a Xiaomi phone on a legal market and put it in a forbidden market just to use it and not to resell it.
