Don’t despair that Xiaomi closed its UK Mi Store last year – it’s back. The company has reopened opened its store in London’s Westfield shopping center in Shepard’s Bush about a year after it closed.
The revitalized store again offers you the opportunity to see and try Xiaomi products firsthand, whether they are phones, fitness trackers or scooters. It was relatively easy in China, India, and some other parts of the world, but it was difficult in Britain.

Xiaomi opened the Apple-like store in November 2018 to promote its then fledgling presence in the UK. The tech giant closed the store in early March 2020 as an “adaptation” to its retail strategy and a fast-growing Western European store. It also doesn’t help that the COVID-19 pandemic was spreading rapidly at this point. It wouldn’t have made much sense to reopen a store that customers couldn’t visit.
The timing is appropriate. AnalystoXiaomi just became the second largest phone brand in the world, overtaking Apple. The UK store could help Xiaomi continue to grow. It could also signal that the company is here to stay – and that competitors like Apple and Samsung have to take it seriously if they are to succeed.
