If we explained Xiaomi’s recent rebranding efforts in different markets, we would end up giving you a headache. Instead, let’s just leave it to the fact that the phone maker is launching a new Redmi smartphone worldwide on January 8th. It’s called the Redmi Note 9T – a 5G phone aimed at budget-conscious buyers.
Xiaomi has not officially released any information, but Amazon Germany jumped the gun to reveal that of the phone Specifications and prices, which confirms that it’s essentially the Redmi Note 9 5G that was launched in China back in November.
The early listing shows that the Redmi Note 9T has a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset, a 6.53-inch FHD + punch hole display, a 48-megapixel main camera, a 5,000 mAh battery with 18 W Charge, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB storage.
In terms of pricing, Amazon has listed the basic version of the Redmi Note 9T for € 229.90 (~ $ 282). In the meantime, the 128 GB storage version was 269.90 euros. The above entries have since been removed from the website.
However, if these prices are correct, the Redmi Note 9T will be one of the cheapest 5G phones in Europe when compared to Realme 7 5G. Renamed or not, the specs seem pretty solid on paper so it is sure to be a popular device on launch.
