Xiaomi Mi Band 6 India launch set for August 26, Mi Notebook also coming

Xiaomi is hosting a Smarter Living event in India on August 26th. Although the invitation we received via email doesn’t reveal much, Xiaomi India’s Chief Business Officer Raghu Reddy confirmed it India today that the Mi Band 6 will finally make its debut in the country.
The fitness band started in April and is only now making its way to India. Xiaomi has managed to pack more functions into it and, as always, keep the price low. Compared to the Mi Band 5, the sixth generation Mi Band has a larger AMOLED display, twice as many activity modes and blood oxygen monitoring. It can now also evaluate sleep breathing quality and take useful features like 5ATM water resistance, Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) and more with it.
In addition to the Mi Band 6, Reddy also confirmed the introduction of a new Mi Notebook with a backlit keyboard. The Xiaomi manager announced that the existing range of Mi Notebooks – Mi Notebook 14, Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition and Mi Notebook 14 E-Learning Edition – will be discontinued after launch.
We don’t know the specs of the new Mi laptop yet, but chances are it will be more expensive than before. You can expect some major spec upgrades on the machine as well.
In addition to the Mi Band 6 and the Mi Notebook, Xiaomi will also announce a few other products that day. The teaser image included with the invitation suggests new TWS earbuds, TVs, and more.
