- Xiaomi is apparently also preparing a Mi 11 Pro.
- The phone is said to have the same screen specifications as the standard model.
Xiaomi launched the Mi 11 earlier this week, which is theoretically a solid upgrade over the standard Mi 10. The Mi 10 Pro was also released earlier this year, but Xiaomi didn’t mention the Mi 11 Pro when it launched on Tuesday.
Now Weibo Tipper Digital Chat Station has suggested that a Mi 11 Pro is actually coming. In particular, the leaker claims that the Pro version has “exactly the same” screen specifications as the standard model. Take a look at the screenshot below.
In a previous comment, the leaker also claimed that the Standard and Pro models would not hit the market together and that the Standard variant would be the only option available before the Spring Festival (mid-February). In other words, it is suggested that a Pro model be available after that.
The Vanilla Mi 11 has a QHD + OLED screen for the first time since the Mi Note Pro 2016. But it also offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a hole cutout and Gorilla Glass Victus. So if the tipster is correct about the existence and screen details of the Pro model, they can provide a great viewing experience on paper too.
We have asked Xiaomi for a comment on the existence of the Mi 11 Pro and will update the article when they get in touch. However, we would expect a Pro model to have faster wired charging and telephoto cameras, among other things.
The Digital Chat Station also claims that Xiaomi is working on a new phone with a selfie camera under the screen. This wouldn’t be a surprise, as the manufacturer confirmed in August that it will mass-produce phones using this technology in 2021.
