Xiaomi is giving free Mi 11 Ultras to India’s Olympic medalists

What if you don’t want to pay that much cash for the smartphone? Well, you could try to become an Indian medalist in the Tokyo Olympics. Yes, Xiaomi India’s Manu Kumar Jain has now announced that his 2020 Olympic medalists will get the phone.

However, Jain points out that Xiaomi will give the Mi 11X to the men’s hockey team. The Mi 11X is a renamed Redmi K40 / Poco F3 with a Snapdragon 870, a 120Hz FHD + OLED screen, a 48MP + 8MP + 5MP rear camera system and a 4,520mAh battery with 33W charge.

Meanwhile, the Mi 11 Ultra is upping the ante with a Snapdragon 888 chipset, a 120Hz QHD + OLED panel, a 50 MP + 48 MP + 48 MP rear camera setup with a tiny screen for selfies and a 5,000 mAh battery with 67 W wired and wireless charging. This is also the first Xiaomi phone with an IP68 rating.

So, those who get the Mi 11 Ultra will save a cool Rs 70,000 (~ $ 943). The Mi 11X is now available in retail outlets for 30,000 rupees (~ $ 404).
