TL; DR
- Xiaomi is reportedly bringing the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE model to India.
- The launch will happen sometime in September, according to the latest report.
- The phone could have specs similar to the global Mi 11 Lite 5G model.
Xiaomi will be expanding its 11 family in India this month. According to a new report, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE could debut in September, joining the 4G model launched in June.
Per 91 Cell Phones, the phone will be given a launch date in September, but the exact calendar date remains unclear.
It is clear that the “New Edition” model will bring 5G connectivity onto the market. Additionally, reports also point to the Snapdragon 778G SoC being used, an upgrade over the Snapdragon 780G of the original 5G model. This chipset bump would let the device compete against the Samsung Galaxy A52s and the Realme GT Master Edition in the segment under Rs 30,000.
As for the other features, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE could have similar specs to the Mi 11 Lite 5G available in China and Europe. This includes a 90 Hz 6.55-inch AMOLED, a 4,250 mAh battery with a 33 W charge, and a 64 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP rearview camera array. Visually, the two devices could have similar design features and slim housings.
While the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G model was priced at Rs 21,999 (~ $ 299), it’s likely that the more powerful NE model will need a little more cash when it lands.
