In the mighty war of streaming platforms, it’s safe to say that Apple TV+ is here to stay. Launched in November 2019, Apple’s one-stop shop for award-winning movies, TV shows, documentaries, and other exclusives can be had for only $5 per month. Compare that to the much loftier price points of competitive services, not to mention that Apple is more than happy to hand out free one-year memberships to anyone buying a brand-new Apple device.
With new films and shows being added on a monthly and even weekly basis, we’ve put together this roundup of all the latest content you can expect to see on Apple TV+ right now, along with what’s just around the corner for new releases.

Our top picks for June
We’ve been eagerly awaiting this Rose Byrne-led miniseries for several months. Physical follows the daily grind of Sheila Rubin, a housewife in 1980s San Diego. Constantly battered by an inner voice that grants her no reprieve, Sheila finds solace and power in the world of aerobics. The half-hour dramedy series was created by Annie Weisman, and the first three episodes hit Apple TV+ on June 18, with additional episodes added on a weekly basis.
Premiering June 4, Lisey’s Story is a miniseries adaptation of the Stephen King novel. Starring Julianne Moore as the titular character, Lisey begins to experience an increasingly terrifying series of events centered on the memory of her late husband, Scott Landomn (Clive Owen). As the evildoers start closing in, the widow must fight for her life while revisiting her spouse’s dark past. Best of all, each of the eight episodes of Lisey’s Story will be penned by Stephen King himself.
Hilde Lisko (Brooklynn Prince), a young reporter, is called back to the town of Erie Harbor in the wake of a massive explosion at a local farm. With a mysterious disease and a trail of dead birds piling up, Hilde must expose the many hidden truths of the once-idyllic community before an evil corporation spells the end for all denizens. Home Before Dark returns to Apple TV+ for its second 10-episode season on June 11, with new episodes dropping every week through mid-August.

Our top picks from May
In the second season of the Rob McElhenney-led comedy series, the staffers behind the massively successful MMORPG Mythic Quest have all returned to the office to begin work on another expansion for the game. But, if the first season taught us anything, tensions will run high and eccentric personalities will clash in this tongue-in-cheek ripping of office jobs, corporate culture, and all things video games.
With a third season already in the works, Apple TV+ is all hands on deck when it comes to Trying, a British comedy series about a young couple, Nikki (Esther Smith) and Jason (Rafe Spall), who struggle with conceiving a child. Turning to adoption, the parents-to-be come to realize that their lives and loved ones are chaotic enough without a little one running around.
In this eight-part documentary series, viewers will get an in-depth look at the prolific musical artists that helped define the titular year, a time of immense cultural hardships. Acts of note include The Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, Bob Marley, The Who, and more. From the creative team behind the award-winning documentary, Amy.
Looking ahead for Apple TV+
There’s plenty ahead for Apple TV+. Subscribers can expect a second season from The Morning Show (TBA), a musical comedy series entitled Schmigadoon! (June 25), and the second season of the award-winning Ted Lasso (July 23). We’re also pumped for Jon Stewart’s return to our TV screens with the just-announced The Problem with Jon Stewart, a one-hour current affairs program hosted by Stewart and premiering Fall 2021.
