What do you do with your old phone when you buy a new one?
It’s not uncommon these days for consumers to keep their smartphones for two to three years as even older phones are still pretty reliable and do their job well enough. But it’s always fun to upgrade to a new device, be it via a contract upgrade or via the prepaid route.

Personally, I kept my old Samsung Galaxy S8 in the closet and pulled it out of storage when I had to check something Samsung-related for the website. Although a friend is currently borrowing the device for VR purposes.
However, there are many ways to reuse an old smartphone. An old device can be used as a smart display, gaming / streaming platform when connected to a big screen, security camera, media server, and more.
We don’t blame you if you sold or traded your old phone, as trade-ins in particular can help mitigate the blow of a new smartphone purchase.
