Results
More than 1,600 votes were counted, and an overwhelming number of readers appear to be loving Xiaomi’s first entry into the foldable phone market. Just under 69% of you think the Mi Mix Fold is hot, while 31% think otherwise.
While the design of the Mi Mix Fold dwarfs recent Samsung and Huawei leaflets, it’s arguably more attractive because of its features. The liquid lens reversing camera is a useful selling point that allows telephoto and macro photography with the same camera. The integration of an outer 90 Hz OLED display, the Snapdragon 888 underneath, and a 108-megapixel rear-view camera also add to the credentials.
That said, the Mi Mix Fold’s positive vibe is surprising given the negativity towards foldable phones in the comment section. Below is some reader feedback on Xiaomi’s entry and other leaflets.

- Wongwatt: Folding phones are pointless, it’s clear that rollable devices have a variety of advantages over them.
- bigdav1178: I honestly don’t see a big use case for these leaflets like this one. Of the leaflets published, the “Z Flip” style seems to be the most practical design.
- Gianluca di Maggio: It might be a clone, but it looks a lot more appealing to me than the Z Fold 2, while adding some actual innovations outside of the foldable screen.
- Elch: I did NOT vote hot, just because I don’t want a foldable phone, nothing that I couldn’t comfortably carry in my shirt pocket. If I want a bigger screen, I can use my tablet or laptop.
