Chris Pratt, seen here in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, now has a much tidier email inbox.

If you recently emailed actor Chris Pratt, you may want to resend it. Wednesday, the Protector of the galaxy star accidentally deleted 51,000 emails and shared the moment headless in a video posted on its page Instagram stories. Although Instagram Stories only last 24 hours, fans captured Pratt’s startled response and shared the video on social media.

“Fifty-one thousand messages are in the trash,” says a Pratt with bug-eyed eyes as the number of emails quickly rises to zero. “Oh damn. What did I do? It just deletes everyone. All my emails. Oh my god. That could be a real nightmare.”

However, Pratt tries to look at the good side. After sitting with a stunned expression on his face, he finally shakes his head and explains: “Fresh start.”

The mess started when Pratt’s 7-year-old son Jack teased his father over 35,000 unread emails.

Apparently the actor was trying to sort his huge mail log to set himself the goal of processing 1,000 emails a day. But somehow he deleted everything in the end.

Many fans wondered if Pratt may only be able to restore emails from its trash. The video shows a heading of TRASH and the number of emails that fail. This seems to show that he is emptying the entire trash, but has not published any update or explanation. Even if the email is available, it appears to be a Star-Lord / Peter Quill mistake.

And if you are looking for a suitable Guardians quote, there is definitely one. In the original 2014 film, Pratt’s character John C. Reilly slowly shakes his finger and says, “Oh, sorry, I didn’t know how this machine worked.”

We’ll get you, Quill. Machines are confusing.
