Vivo’s flagship X50 phones with gimbal-style camera will drop in the second half of 2020
Vivo announced three phones as part of its X50 series on Monday, marking the launch of the Chinese company’s first flagship phones for this year.
The X50, the X50 Pro and the X50 Pro Plus will be released internationally in the second half of 2020, the company said in a statement sent by email, without specifying which countries are included in the rollout.
The three phones are all equipped with 5G functions and displays with refresh rates of up to 120 Hz. However, only the high-end model has a gimbal camera device integrated in the main camera, Vivo said in an email. This built-in cardan structure is included in Vivo’s concept phone. the APEX 2020that was announced in late February. The main camera of the X50 Pro Plus also includes Samsung’s 50 megapixel sensor with faster autofocus, which was announced earlier this month.
According to Vivo, the base model X50 is the thinnest 5G phone with a thickness of 7.49 mm. CNET was unable to independently verify these claims.
Vivo has not yet released the full specs and pricing for its new flagship series, which will be announced at a later date.
