Vivo Iqoo 7 could be the cheapest Snapdragon 888 phone in India
- Vivo’s Iqoo sub-brand announces that it will launch a Snapdragon 888 phone in India for under 40,000 rupees (~ $ 550).
- This is expected to be the Iqoo 7, which was launched in China earlier this year.
We have already seen quite a few flagship Snapdragon 888s in India, such as the Galaxy S21 series and the OnePlus 9 series. But what if you want the cheapest flagship with the best silicon possible?
This is where Vivo’s Iqoo sub-brand comes in confirmed on Twitter that it is bringing a Snapdragon 888 phone to India for less than 40,000 rupees (~ $ 550). Check out a screenshot of the tweet below.
The company is believed to be launching the Iqoo 7 in India, as this device was launched in China earlier this year. The flagship is indeed equipped with the Snapdragon 888 SoC, 8 GB to 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB to 256 GB of fixed storage.
Other notable Iqoo 7 specs include a 120 Hz FHD + OLED screen, flexible triple rear camera (48 MP main, 13 MP ultra-wide, 13 MP 2x telephoto lens) and a 4,000 mAh battery 120 W fast charge.
The cheapest Snapdragon 888 device in India right now is the newly launched OnePlus 9, which starts at 49,999 rupees (~ $ 688) for the 8GB / 128GB model. If you skip the OnePlus device, you will be missing out on an ultra-high, ultra-high-definition camera, wireless charging, and a bigger battery. But if all you care about is a ton of power at the cheapest price, then definitely keep an eye on the Iqoo device. And you get faster wired charging and a telephoto camera.
