Two telephoto cameras, plenty of megapixels
- Vivo introduced the X60 Pro Plus in China.
- The new phone has a Snapdragon 888 processor and an improved rear view camera system.
- There is still no word on global availability.
Vivo announced the X60 and X60 Pro models last month, which include the brand new Exynos 1080 processor for the upper mid-range and a 48-megapixel main camera with micro-gimbal stabilization. But what if you want a full, flagship experience? Fortunately, the BBK brand just announced the Vivo X60 Pro Plus.
The new phone swaps out the mid-range Exynos processor for a state-of-the-art Snapdragon 888 chipset, which means you should expect superior CPU and GPU performance when compared to its counterparts. You can also expect a wired charge of 55W for the 4,200mAh battery, which should be a significant improvement over the 33W charge on the other phones.
The new flagship from Vivo also improves its use in the camera sector and provides a setup developed jointly with Zeiss and Zeiss lens coatings for better image quality. The phone differs from its peers by providing a 50MP Samsung GN1 main camera instead of a 48MP shooter. That main camera lacks micro-gimbal stabilization (with OIS instead), however, and Vivo adds it to the 48MP 48MP (IMX598, 114-degree field of view) 48MP snapper instead.

Other notable camera details include a 32MP 2x telephoto lens for portraits and an 8MP 5x periscope shooter. In terms of camera software, the Vivo X60 Pro Plus offers night portraits, ultra-wide and panoramic night shots, a 100-megapixel mode via the 50-megapixel shooter, a starry sky mode and color restoration of black and white photos.
The new phone has some similarities with its cheaper siblings, such as: B. a 6.56-inch FHD + OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a 32-megapixel selfie shooter in a cutout, a fingerprint sensor in the display and Origin operating system on Android 11.
The Vivo X60 Pro Plus will be available in China starting at 4,998 yuan (~ $ 772) for the 8GB / 128GB model. Expect 5,998 yuan (~ $ 927) for the 12GB / 256GB variant. The phone is available in gray or orange options. We asked Vivo for greater availability and will update the article when they get back to us.
