Toyota Corolla will sport an Apex Package to make the sedan racier, report says
The Toyota Corolla The sedan will be a little sportier in the near future as the Japanese automaker is preparing the supposedly “Apex package”.
The car and driver reported the upcoming package last Wednesday, and as the name suggests, it will focus on carving corners. A set of summer tires in particular distinguishes the package from other Corolla panels. Buyers should be able to add the Apex package to either the SE or the XSE.
What the magazine says won’t change is the powertrain. It will remain a 2.0-liter in-line four engine with 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. A CVT will be standard, but the SE fairing actually offers a manual transmission. For those who want more than just commuting with the Corolla, the manually equipped Corolla with the Apex package sounds like the right combination.
We don’t know what else the package will contain, but C / D mentions three special exterior colors. Cement, likely a shade of gray, white, and a shade called Black Sand Pearl, will be available, and a contrasting black roof will come in gray and white.
Toyota declined to comment on the reported package, but we know the company is almost certain to have more news about the upcoming Corolla. After detailed information on changes to the 2021 Corolla Hatchback Toyota again last week indicated other things that would come on the hot hatch Side of things. Maybe we’ll see the Apex package next to a real one GR Corolla hatchback.
