Tile’s Item Tracking now covers your fitness tracker that fell between the sofa cushions. The company has partnered with them to help find lost Fitbit devices through the Tile app, starting with Inspire 2.

An update released this week for Fitbits Wearable makes its last known location visible through the app, including through Tile’s worldwide network, when the gadget is out of Bluetooth range. The tracker itself can call your phone if you misplace it.

Unsurprisingly, Tile offers perks when you subscribe to the premium service for $ 30 a year. Smart Alerts sends a notification when you leave your Fitbit device about to start a workout.

The two companies did not guarantee broader support, but said there was “potential” to roll over the Tile integration to other Fitbit devices. Don’t be surprised if you find it easier to find your meaning or versa in the future. Fitbit told Android Authority::

Tile’s Fitbit binding is arguably a smart move to stay relevant in a pandemic-ridden world. You may not need to track down a lost bag, but you probably still care about the tracker that you use for your socially distant runs. However, this makes Fitbit gear more appealing if you’re not always satisfied with competing fitness equipment if just providing a little rest.
