Thor director Taika Waititi to helm and co-write a Star Wars movie
Taika Waititi dives back into a distant galaxy to make and write a Star Wars film, Lucasfilm revealed in one May 4th Surprise. Waititi became famous for its pop culture when he directed the film Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2017 Thor: Ragnarok and headed the Season 1 finale from The Mandalorian last year.
Waititi also played the deadly assassin droid IG-11 on the Disney Plus show and Korg on the MCU. So expect him to appear in his Star Wars movie too (probably as a CGI robot or alien). Krysty Wilson-Cairns, who wrote the notes Sam Mendes‘ 1917 last year will write the script with Waititi.
This isn’t the only project Waititi is working on for Lucasfilm owner Disney. He revealed last month that he is rough four or five script designs in Thor: love and thunder.
