The smartphone industry is currently dominated by Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi. However, there are many other manufacturers vying for market share such as Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus, Sony, Motorola, and others.
However, these actors do not stand still and generally evolve their products, services and strategies. With that in mind, we thought now would be a good time to ask which brand you are most satisfied with right now. That’s how you reacted.

The poll was released on June 1st and at the time of writing it had over 6,000 votes, which gives us a good sample size to work with. But is it really any surprise that Samsung got the most votes (32.71%)?
The company has taken several consumer-friendly moves in the past year or two, including four years of security updates and three generations of Android version updates for a variety of devices. Samsung has also launched the Galaxy S21 series with a $ 200 discount compared to the S20 series, while the new Galaxy A phones are great value for money too.
Interestingly, Google ranks second. 14% of respondents say that it is the manufacturer they are most satisfied with. Google isn’t a top five player in terms of shipments, but the company had great mid-range devices with the Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a 5G. The Pixel 5 wasn’t a full-blown flagship using mid-range silicon instead, but it still brought a lot to the table. Consider Google’s three year commitment to Android version updates and it’s understandable why people choose the brand.

Apple and OnePlus were practically level, each accounting for 12% of the vote. It’s interesting to see Apple so high on the list, but it’s not surprising when you think about it. Apple’s iPhones offer a completely different operating system, long update obligations, access to a different ecosystem of services, and some powerful silicon. According to our latest visitor statistics report, Apple devices even make up 20% of our target group.
Oppo, Realme and Vivo brought up the rear with 1% of the vote each. It’s worth noting that Oppo and Vivo recently announced new update commitments, but those commitments felt more like a PR move than a consumer-friendly decision. Both companies announced three years of version updates, but Oppo is only offering it for the Find X3 series, while Vivo is only offering it for upcoming X-series flagships (so the new X60 series will not participate in this promotion). Meanwhile, Realme is only trying to offer two years of version updates for its prominent devices.

- Peter Mulders: It would be a nightmare to choose a new phone now. OnePlus used to be my go-to stop but they messed up their updates. Pixel is expensive and not really flagship. Samsung has too much gas. Apple is expensive and that notch .. huh .. For me there is simply no “best brand” at the moment
- aaron cooper: Google – 4a5G, works simply, easy to use, battery lasts a long time, takes great pictures, runs with Android 12 Beta, everything works and I am satisfied.
- Rahul Pai: Very happy to see ROG 5 bring the jack back. now disappointing to see jack and sd removed from samsung
- GR: Just Asus. They got their priorities right. Zenfone 8 doesn’t ask too much for fancy gadgets, it offers the essentials; Pocket size, 120 Hz display, SD888, headphone jack, killer battery, killer software that intelligently helps this killer battery, and an unbeatable price, especially for performance. I would take a Zenfone 8 if my current phone wasn’t enough. But still have to look for updates.
- Joer’ct Drew (Aiodensghost): Samsung just because their mid-range offerings still have the headphone jack and SD card support. As soon as they stop, I’ll go somewhere else
- Piotr: Why am I satisfied with Samsung? because of 3 years of OS upgrades – just like that. Why am I extremely unhappy? Because Samsung does not support fast charging in its products. Load 25W? It’s mediocre
- Christian Hinayon: I am happy and satisfied with what Xiaomi offers us end users. I know a lot of people complain about the ad problems on Xiaomi smartphones, but I don’t mind at all because it is not that difficult to disable.
