- An alleged render of the Huawei P50 Pro was created.
- The smartphone is said to have a curved 6.6-inch display with a revised selfie camera system.
Information about the Huawei P50 Pro has been hard to come by before, but now we have an idea of what the flagship could mean. Tipper Steve Hemmerstoffer posted a number of details about Voice, including a first look at Huawei’s next flagship smartphone.
The front-facing render suggests that the P50 has some notable differences from the Huawei P40 Pro. Gone are the dual punch hole selfie camera and a centrally mounted single shooter that is more similar to the Galaxy Note 20 series.
According to Hemmerstoffer, the phone also foregoes the magnetic earbud that the P40 Pro uses for a more traditional setup.
In terms of dimensions, the P50 Pro is said to have a 6.6-inch display with tapered sides mounted in a case 73 mm wide and 159 mm long. This would make it a relatively compact device compared to its contemporaries despite its screen size.
As for the phone’s back plate, the render doesn’t help our imaginations. The leak doesn’t reveal much about the phone’s internals either, but we can make a few guesses as to what it has to offer.
It is possible that the Huawei P50 Pro is using the Kirin 9000 chipset, which is connected to a healthy dose of RAM. Expect the phone to focus on imaging performance like previous P-series models. There are also suggestions that the phone could start up with Harmony OS, but it’s really too early to judge.
Huawei launched the P40 series in March 2020, so the P50 line will likely be released around the first or second quarter of 2021. Until then, you should expect a lot of information about the flagship.
