The theft of your smartphone can be one of the most uncomfortable things as people often spend their entire lives on these devices. Chances are, you may no longer see your phone, but at least one thief has reportedly decided to return a hijacked device.
Legal journalist Debayan Roy tweeted on Monday (h / t: MySmartPrice) that a thief snatched his Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus in Noida, India and ran away with Roy. But the thief then decided to turn around and run back to him.
“Bhai Mujhe Laga OnePlus 9 Pro model hai [Bro, I thought it was a OnePlus 9 Pro]”Said the thief to the journalist before dropping the phone on the floor and running again.
Roy has dismiss User responses suggest this was a marketing stunt for OnePlus. So it sure sounds like at least one thief is really looking for a new OnePlus phone that could be stolen, which would still be some kind of PR win for the Chinese manufacturer.
Amazon India notes that the next OnePlus 9 Pro sale will go online on April 15th at 12:00 PM EST. So you should act quickly if you are interested in the new device.
