  • Xiaomi has announced the launch of MIUI 12.5.
  • The user interface will debut on a selection of flagship products in the second quarter of 2021.
  • More phones will be added later in the quarter.

Xiaomi unveiled MIUI 12.5 at the launch of the Chinese Mi 11 in December 2020, and the company has now announced more details for global users at the global launch of the Mi 11.

The next version of the company’s MIUI skin will be rolled out gradually on the company’s devices, the company confirmed.

MIUI 12.5 brings a number of visual and functional improvements, including more responsive gestures, controls on the clipboard, and better permission management. Xiaomi also claims that the user interface uses less system resources and uses less power.

The second wave will begin in the “late second quarter of 2021” and include a further 11 devices from the Xiaomi and Redmi stables. These include:

  • Mi 10 Lite 5G
  • Mi 10T Lite
  • Mi Note 10 Pro
  • Mi Note 10
  • Mi Note 10 Lite
  • Redmi Note 9T
  • Redmi Note 9 Pro
  • Redmi Note 9S
  • Redmi Note 9
  • Redmi Note 8 Pro
  • Redmi 9

We expect Xiaomi to add more devices to this list once the rollout begins, especially those that received the MIUI 12 update. So hold on tight if you have an older device. There can still be hope.
