The Mi Smart Clock has a 3.97-inch color touchscreen display. It can display video from your connected security cameras so you can keep an eye on your house or if you just want to see your pets play in another room. The watch also supports Google Assistant with two built-in far-field microphones.
Chromecast support is also built in. In theory, it means that you can cast videos from YouTube, Netflix, or any other Chromecast-supported smartphone app to the watch’s display, even though it wasn’t shown during the brief reveal.
In addition, the Mi Smart Clock can be used to display your digital photo collection and also serves as a hub for controlling your smart home devices. Of course, it’s also a smart speaker. According to Xiaomi, it can be connected directly to your favorite music streaming services. For people who use it as a fancy alarm clock, it has a sunrise function that gradually increases the light of the clock so you can wake up more easily.
The Xiaomi Mi Smart Clock costs € 49.99 in European countries. There is still no word on a launch date and no word on whether it will be available in other countries.
