Xiaomi launched the Mi 10T series earlier this month with powerful processors, high refresh rate screens and large batteries. The phones were launched in Europe and India, and now at least one phone appears to be making its way into the Chinese home market.
Yes, the company brought the standard Mi 10T to China, but it has been renamed and is now called the Redmi K30S Ultra. Despite the name change, it’s still the same phone with a 6.67-inch 144 Hz FHD + LCD screen, a Snapdragon 865 processor, and a 5,000 mAh battery.
The Redmi K30S Ultra has the same camera setup, namely a 64-megapixel main shooter, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens (123-degree field of view) and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. A 20-megapixel camera in the hole cutout is in selfie mode.
Other outstanding features include Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, 8K recording support, 33W cable charging, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster and MIUI 12 on Android 10.
The Redmi K30S Ultra costs 2,599 yuan (~ $ 388) for the 8GB / 128GB model, while the 8GB / 256GB option is available for 2,799 yuan (~ $ 418) is. In both cases, this is considerably cheaper than the European price of the Mi 10T. A 6GB / 128GB option costs 499 euros (~ $ 590 US).
