V-Moda introduced its first noise-canceling headphones on the first day of CES 2021. The V-Moda M-Series headphones have been a focal point for many audiophiles in recent years, and the added noise cancellation sure makes them more attractive for everyday use.
The new V-Moda M-200 ANC headphones hardly differ from the originals. They have the same sturdy construction, identical foldable headband and adjustable metal ear cups. While V-Moda hasn’t reinvented its design, the V-Moda M-200 ANC has been updated where it matters. These have bluetooth 5.0 built in with a lot of great bluetooth codec support. Along with the standard SBC codec that all audio devices use, these have aptX HD for high quality streaming and AAC for iOS devices.
These also have Bluetooth multipoint so that you can switch seamlessly between devices such as the Sony WH-1000XM4 or Microsoft Surface Headphones 2. When it comes to battery life, V-Moda claims that it lasts around 20 hours of constant playback with active playback – cancel enabled. Just like the other top competitors in the over-ear Bluetooth market, the V-Moda M-200 ANC has passthrough so you can hear what is going on around you.
They also come with a 3.5mm cable and a USB-C to USB-C cable for charging – two things the AirPods Max don’t have in the box.
These aren’t cheap. If you want to add a pair of these to your collection you have to be ready to spend some serious money as the V-Moda M-200 ANC will cost you about $ 499. You can expect to get them in early March 2021.
