The OnePlus 9 Pro will be available in a trick mirror finish
- OnePlus detailed a unique Morning Mist color for the 9 Pro.
- The unique finish has a reflectivity that changes from top to bottom.
- Expect OnePlus to keep bragging about its design on March 23rd.
Phone makers are increasingly relying on clever interfaces to sell you their latest phones, and that includes OnePlus. The company has detailed one of the colors for OnePlus 9 Pro, Morning Mist, and it’s clear that this isn’t just a fanciful name for “silver”.
The new OnePlus 9 color revolves around a combination of film and reflective glass that creates gradient refraction. While the finish starts at 60 degrees of diffusion (hence the “fog”) at the top of the phone, it shifts down to a mirror-like 20 percent. You’ll think a little then, but the company is aiming for a more spooky look than a simple mirror finish would offer.
It’s not sure if OnePlus will talk about other colors, although we wouldn’t be surprised if we heard more, down to subtle shades of green and purple, in the days leading up to the 9-series debut on March 23, but it was not apparent how (if at all) silver and black could stand out.

You’re probably more interested in the functionality of the phone, such as Hasselblad cameras or the Snapdragon 888 chip. Additionally, there’s a good chance the color choices will not be appreciated by users who deploy the OnePlus 9 Pro in certain cases. However, if you are determined to show off your phone, then you might just be satisfied.
