In May, OnePlus released a stable version of Oxygen OS 10 for its two flagships in 2017 after a long wait. Unfortunately the update was a bit chaotic. It has impacted features such as electronic image stabilization (EIS) and the life of the tank battery. In fact, it was such a disaster that OnePlus didn’t list it on its support website in hopes of preventing people from downloading it. In September, the company finally apologized for the delay in releasing a follow-up update. Two months later, 10.0.1 finally makes its way to the people.

In addition to fixing the issues that Oxygen OS 10 brought on the OP5 / 5T, the update brings the two phones to the September security patch of Android – an improvement, but we’re now in November. In either case, the full list of changes is below.

  • system
    • Fixed the abnormal call recording issue.
    • Fixed the problem with the disabled alarm when turning off the phone.
    • Updated Android security patch to 2020. 09
    • Updated GMS package to 08/2020.
  • Full screen gestures
    • Backward movement at the bottom of the screen is available (OP5T only).
  • camera
    • Electronic image stabilization has been added to bring you a more stable recording experience.

You may have to wait a little longer to download 10.0.1 to your phone. At the outset, the company says it will initially roll out the update to OnePlus 5 devices, followed by a rollout to OnePlus 5T phones. Second, in both cases, the company is doing a gradual release so that the rollout can be stopped if unexpected errors occur.
