- A new leak has described an inexpensive 4G Redmi phone with a 6,000 mAh battery.
- That would be a record size for a Xiaomi phone in 2020.
We already know that Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand is preparing a number of new phones, which appear to be available as a new addition to the Redmi Note 9 series. Now it looks like the company is preparing at least one more budget phone, and it stands out for its battery.
Leaker Digital Chat Station revealed on Weibo that Redmi is working on an affordable 4G phone with a 6,000 mAh battery. This would be tied to the Indian Poco X3 as the largest battery in a Xiaomi phone in 2020 and should theoretically deliver two full days of usage (if not more).
Other specifications shared by the tipster include a 6.53-inch FHD + LCD screen, an 8-megapixel selfie camera, a triple rear camera with a 48-megapixel main sensor, and a 22.5W fast charge. The battery capacity and display size appear to be confirmed by a filing with the Chinese TENAA regulator (h / t :). MySmartPrice) to.
Digital Chat Station also notes that the Redmi phone likely includes a Snapdragon 665 or 662 processor as it has a 2 GHz octacore CPU (four Cortex-A73 and four Cortex-A53) and an Adreno 610 GPU offers. The CPU clock speed likely rules out the Snapdragon 460, which offers the same key specs but otherwise hits 1.8 GHz.
The phone’s obvious specs suggest a device that sits beneath the recently rumored Redmi Note 5G series. Presumably, this new phone would resemble some type of Redmi 10.
Anyway, it looks like we should expect a stream of cheap Xiaomi devices before the end of the year. On the market for a Xiaomi phone? Then you can check out our list of the best Xiaomi phones.
