The Mandalorian is now almost two years old and has become a huge hit for Disney Plus during that time. It was even nominated twice for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series. We followed the adventures of the title character, a bounty hunter with distinctive armor who suddenly becomes the protector of Grogu, a power-activated creature better known by fans as “Baby Yoda”. Now that two seasons have been completed, you might be wondering when the third season of Mandalorian will be released. Good question. Here’s everything we know about Season 3 of The Mandalorian so far.

You haven’t seen the show yet? You can sign up for Disney Plus and read the first two seasons under the following link:

When does the third season of The Mandalorian start?

At this time, Disney has not yet announced when the third season will premiere on Disney Plus. In one new twitter post, Phillip Sugarman, who often transpires when film and TV show productions begin, posted an image of a production schedule for the show, which shows that filming of season 3 of The Mandalorian began on September 20 and will run until March 22 March 2022, we can expect Season 3 to debut sometime in the fall of 2022.

Who will be in season three?

Warning: S.Harbingers for the upcoming show. Only read on if you’re already done with Season 2!

Pedro Pascal, who played the title character on the show’s first two seasons, is currently working as the main character on HBO’s upcoming series adaptation of the video game The Last of Us. It’s possible for The Mandalorian to be played by a different person wearing the suit next season, and Pascal will simply take over the character’s voice. For the first two seasons, he took off his helmet to show us his face only three times. This will probably stay that way in the third season, although Pascal rarely shows himself without a helmet.

What about the Mandalorian’s Companion, Grogu? At the end of season two, we see him leave his friend and protector to join none other than Luke Skywalker in order to learn how to use his powers of power. It’s hard to believe we’ll never see “Baby Yoda” again, so we expect him to be there in season 3 as well.

Also in the third season we expect recurring characters like the bounty hunter guild boss Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) and the evil Imperial Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito). One character who won’t be back is the mercenary Cara Dune. Disney and Lucasfilm were unhappy with certain controversial Twitter messages from the character’s actress, actress Gina Carano, and publicly announced that she would not be returning.

What is season 3 of The Mandalorian about?

It is currently unknown what the third season plot will look like. However, we could get some clues in December 2021. At this point, Disney Plus is debuting a spin-off series, The Book of Boba Fett. Temuera Morrison will play the role of Boba Fett, a bounty hunter who also wears Mandalorian armor, and Ming-Na Wen will play his partner Fennec Shand.

Both appeared in the second season of The Mandalorian. In the post-credits scene from the final episode of the season, we see Boba Jabba murdering The Hutts former lieutenant Bib Fortuna in Jabba’s palace on Tattoine. It is believed that Boba and Fennec have plans to take advantage of Jabba’s palace and power. We expect that the plot of The Book of Boba Fett will have at least a connection to the third season of The Mandalorian.

That’s all we know about Season 3 of The Mandalorian so far. We will update this post as more information becomes available.
