The Google Clock app has been making headlines recently due to a bug that caused users to miss preset alarms. Reports of the problem have come from many users of Pixel smartphones and those using devices from OnePlus, Oppo, and others. The problem even sparked multiple one-star ratings on the Play Store.
While Google came up with a solution to the error, we wanted to know if this was the first time this had happened to you or if the Clock app frequently missed alarms. This is how you voted in our survey.

Results
We received almost 13,800 votes in our poll for the Google Clock app. 62% of voters said they missed alarms previously set through the app. Meanwhile, 33% of those surveyed have no problems with it and say that the app’s alarm function works every time. 5% of users have had problems with preset alarms in the app but say the feature works for them again.

Elei: I only had the problem with Spotify controlled alarms. Once I switched it to default alarm tones I had no problem.
StygianWolf: Usually had a certain song from Spotify as an alarm on this app. I noticed a couple of mornings in a role claiming I missed the alarm clock. I changed it to an older alarm that I saved in the phone’s local files and it fixed the problem.
Rob Chilton: I noticed my ringtone alarm was working, but no Spotify alarms. When I try to switch to ringtones, the app gently crashes back on my alarm list.
Tim Feldt: I didn’t have any problems. My alarm clock is one from the sound picker. I usually wake up before the alarm clock anyway.
Dragos Lucian: This is the kind of mistake that is totally unacceptable. For some, the fact that the alarm clock does not go off is the end of the world.
thesecondsight: I’ve never trusted smartphone alarm clocks. For as long as I can remember I’ve been using a battery powered atomic alarm clock with double AA.
Lex1020: I kept telling my wife that I swear one of my alarm clocks didn’t go off. Fortunately, I’ve been getting up at the same time for years, so my body woke up normally at this time and I was never late for work.
Tony Virili: I started this problem a few days ago. I’ve found that if the alarm clock is configured to play a Spotify song and the phone is facing down in Flip to Shhh mode, the alarm won’t go off. It will still show that it is ready to go today (not tomorrow), even if the time is in the past.
Benjamin Haube: I can confirm this error on my Pixel 5. I’ve missed several alarms in the past few weeks. Fortunately, my internal clock is set perfectly and I usually wake up 10 minutes before the alarm clock anyway.
Pascal: I had this problem once and it happened because my phone had no working internet connection and I was using a Youtube Music sound.
