The Galaxy Z Fold 3 has its fair share of detractors
Eric Zeman / Android Authority
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 may be the best foldable phone we’ve ever seen on paper due to its improved screen durability, water resistance, and S Pen compatibility. It doesn’t hurt that the phone is actually a little cheaper than its predecessor.
Are all of these factors enough to convince you we’re looking for a great device? We asked you if the Galaxy Z Fold 3 was hot or not, and that’s how you answered the question.
Galaxy Z Fold 3: Hot Or Not?
Results
We published the poll on August 11th and so far it has received a total of 2,057 votes. Just over 60% of readers actually think the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is a hot device. It seems like the people who voted for this option are the silent majority as most of the comments have been negative about Samsung’s new foldable device. However, a few comments express interest in the device.
Almost 40% of those surveyed, on the other hand, are not interested in the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and therefore vote “not”. Comments suggest that some readers may be disappointed with the camera system, price, and S Pen implementation.
There is some truth to all of these complaints, however, as you are looking at cameras that haven’t changed much from the Z Fold 2 (other than the under-display selfie camera), priced at $ 1,800 (cheaper than its predecessor, but.) still expensive) and S Pen implementation that is not up to the Note series.
Remarks
- piensa: Expensive, very expensive, to start with … I’m not convinced of the idea of foldable objects … at least not now … why? Because of the hinges … these things will break sooner or later … but they will break. And after buying $ 1,700, it would surely hurt. Of course, guarantees and really reliable repairs are only illusions, if it breaks once it is broken forever … So, no Samsung, not again this time …. I’ll also wait for the Pixel 6 PRO … and see how it goes …
- TheRealCBONE: If you’re coming from the Fold2 there is no compelling reason to upgrade unless you absolutely have to have IPX8 I guess. That being said, I’m from 21+ and my wife has a Fold2, and this phone is great. This one will work great for what I want. Pre-order today and receive the pen case, pen and 2 chargers for free.
- Stefan Magnusson: Hold on to my Grade 10+ as long as I can. But after that this is my new cell phone
