Earlier this month, we got our official first look at the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. It’s the first smartwatch to use the revamped WearOS that Google developed in collaboration with Samsung. Now a new leak from Winfuture.de gives us the first look at the Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch, which with the new Wear OS could be the first wearable device outside of Samsung’s product. The Fossil Gen 5 smartwatch, which uses the older version of WearOS, was launched in 2019. So we’ve been waiting for the next portable fossil from Fossil for a while.

Inside, the Gen 6 smartwatch is the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processors, along with 8GB of memory. The battery life should be up to 24 hours and it should take about an hour to fully charge the watch.
According to the article, the smartwatches are offered in different versions for women and men with case sizes of 42 mm or 44 mm width. The clocks should also be able to work under water up to a depth of 50 meters. The article states that the watches have sensors on the back to monitor activities like steps, sleep, heart rate, cardio levels, and more. It is expected that leather, fabric and metal straps will also be offered.
