A wireless charging pad for your iPhone or Android phone This can be a staple in your office or home, but it can also be a useful tool for mounting in your car. Even the best wireless car charger is not a completely wireless experience – it requires power and a cable that connects to your car’s cigarette lighter. But it comes in handy if you don’t have to remember to connect a cable to your phone every time you get in the car.
Note that any wireless charger in this shopping guide is compatible with any phone that enables wireless charging, regardless of whether it’s an iPhone. Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel or other models. And if you’re really attached to your phone case – as long as it’s not very thick – you can leave it on your smartphone and still do it charge your phone.

iOttie finally has a wireless car charger with automatic clamp and phone holder – and it’s good. The Auto Sense Automatic Clamping Qi charging case for car phones is available as a dashboard holder or as a CD and vent clip version (I tried the wireless dashboard charging holder). It has a beautifully designed telescopic arm, a strong suction cup and the charging function for cell phones is compatible with most cell phone cases. You get 7.5 W for an iPhone and 10 W for Android phones, which is considered fast wireless charging.
This Qi wireless charger comes with a double-charge USB cigarette lighter adapter. My only criticism – and it’s a minor one – is that the included cable is micro USB and not USB Type C. As soon as the cable is connected to the wireless car charger, you can basically forget it. However, if the cable is accidentally disconnected (which is actually the case), it is easier to connect a USB-C cable to charge the phone, especially when you are driving.

If you don’t mind choosing a no-name brand like ZeeHoo, the wireless car charger offers most of the features you need to charge your phone, including automatic clamping, a secure suction cup, USB-C and 10-W -Fast charge for Android phones that supports it (iPhones are charged to 7.5 W). It’s not as fancy as the iOttie – and it doesn’t come with a cigarette lighter adapter – just a USB-C cable – but it costs $ 35 less.
It is one of the most popular generic wireless car chargers with a telescopic arm with automatic detection. I found that overall it works well, is securely attached to my ventilation bracket, and charges my smartphone quickly. I thought it was good that the wireless car charger was equipped with both a phone holder for my dashboard and a ventilation bracket. Note that for quick charging you need a power supply that supports it (not included).

If you want to use a more discreet wireless charger, a magnetic holder is a good choice. The iOttie iTap 2 Wireless is available in versions with ventilation, CD slot and dashboard bracket. I tried the bleed version, which has a locking mechanism on the bleed clip that securely attaches the charger bracket to the bleed hole.
In order for your mobile phone to work with a magnetic car holder, you either need a bag with metal (which I have) or you can attach one of the supplied narrow metal plates to the back of your phone (stick) it down so that it has the wireless charging circuit in it the middle doesn’t bother). You can even cover the plate with your phone case, but make sure the case isn’t too thick or that your phone doesn’t stick to the charger holder.
The iOttie iTap 2 contains a dual USB car charger with an additional USB port for charging a second device. The included cable is a micro USB cable, not a USB-C cable that does not offer accelerated charging functions. My iPhone 11 Pro stayed safely on the charger, but those with larger phones like the iPhone 11 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 should probably choose one of the wireless charger options above.

The wireless car charger X-Doria Defense Helix with RoboGrip has “robot” arms that open automatically when you place your phone near the charger and clamp it again after docking. You can easily remove it from the cradle by tapping a button on the dock, which will open your arms. It is compatible as a wireless charger for iPhone and Android devices.
This charger comes with a vent bracket, a USB-C cable and a dual car power supply with two USB-A ports (QC 3.0 and 2.1A). It supplies iPhones with 7.5 W and offers Android phones a fast charge up to 10 W.
It is also well built and relatively inexpensive compared to other wireless car chargers with auto-sense powered arms. The only little problem I had with this wireless charger is that while the ventilation bracket snaps into place fairly securely, it sometimes slips when you drive over a big bump and your car bounces.
