Redmi 9 Prime

Xiaomi picked up a Redmi smartphone in India, which is basically the same as the Redmi 9 the company released in Europe. The budget smartphone is called the Redmi 9 Prime and it has a powerful chipset for the price, a large battery, and a quad camera setup.

The name is inspired by Xiaomi’s first “Prime” phone made in India, the Redmi 2 Prime. The company later launched the Redmi 3S Prime and the Redmi 9 Prime is the third Prime series phone in the country. According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Prime series will focus on mid-range phones and will be somewhere between the Redmi Note series and the numbered Redmi series.

It’s another welcome return for Xiaomi in this price range, and the 9 Prime is certainly one of the best phones you can get for less than Rs 10,000.

Realme Narzo 20A

This inexpensive phone manufacturer leaves no stone unturned to capture the largest possible share of the Indian market. Realme launched a new line of smartphones in the extremely affordable segment a few months ago. Realme has already launched its successors. The latest addition to the under 10,000 rupee category is the Realme Narzo 20A.

There are some improvements compared to the Narzo 10A. You get a higher memory variant, a better selfie shooter, a slightly faster processor and, above all, a cheaper price. The incremental upgrades aren’t surprising given Realme’s release cycle, but the Narzo 20A is the obvious choice between the two.

Redmi 9 / Redmi 9i / Redmi 9A

The Redmi 9 and Redmi 9A are the company’s newest ultra-affordable smartphones in the country. As usually happens with every iteration of these lines, the 9 and 9A go straight to our list of the best phones you can get for less than Rs 10,000. Redmi also recently launched the 9i, which sits right in the middle of the 9 and 9A.

A few things stay the same between the three. This includes screen size and resolution, battery capacity, main camera, and front-facing shooter. However, the Redmi 9 has a second depth sensor on the back, a faster processing package with more RAM and storage, and a fingerprint scanner. The Redmi 9i, on the other hand, is basically the 9A with more RAM and storage.

All three are excellent options in the budget category, but the Redmi 9 is definitely the best of all. However, the 9i and 9A can save you around 1,000 rupees and 2,000 rupees, so these are worth considering too.

Realme and Redmi continue their intense rivalry across all price segments in India. The race is also hot in the rupee 10,000 category, and the Realme C12 is ready to take on the Redmi 9. It’s actually pretty interesting to see how much the two phones have in common.

The size and resolution of the displays are the same, the processing package is identical, and the design with a square camera butt on the back is similar too. However, the Realme C12 stands out in a few areas. It comes with a third camera on the back and, most importantly, a huge battery. However, the Redmi 9 with the same price has more RAM and storage.

Motorola E7 Plus

Motorola has been slowly but steadily strengthening its entry-level and highly affordable portfolio in India over the past several years. Between the One and G series, the company offers a number of excellent devices. The two include Motorola’s other extremely affordable line of products, the E-Series.

The Motorola E7 Plus is an excellent upgrade compared to its predecessor. You get a faster processor, an improved camera setup, and a bigger battery. While the specs and features are standard tariffs for this price range, it’s great to see Motorola getting back into this segment.

However, one really disappointing thing about the E7 Plus is the fact that it has a micro-USB charging port. Even so, it is still one of the better options to consider under Rs 10,000.
