A classic horror story

Netflix teased its upcoming Italian horror film in a short and sweet teaser this week. The plot of the title revolves around five strangers who share a trip on board a motorhome. After an accident, they find themselves in a forest populated by strange beings from which it is impossible to get out. The minute-long teaser doesn’t give us much, but we see a man crying out for a dear life with a piercing device just inches away from bursting his pupils. Yes, this could be one for fans of Gore.

Fear Street Trilogy

Netflix has put together three films based on RL Fines Fear Steet novels. All are releasing this July with a week’s break between films. The Fear Street films are reminiscent of the ’90s Scream franchise and set over the same period. The trailer shows a young girl answering a creepy phone call. When she hangs up, a masked slasher tears his stomach. Classic horror stuff. Netflix describes the trilogy as a story of a group of teenagers who discover that the horrific events that have plagued their city for generations can all be connected and that they are the next few destinations.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness

We got a pretty detailed new trailer for Netflix’s Resident Evil animated series this week. The new clip shows the game’s two main characters, Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, dealing with a zombie outbreak in the White House. In doing so, they also seem to expose a political conspiracy that is only closed by the US government.

Sweet tooth

The full trailer for Netflix’s post-apocalyptic fairy tale is here. The new footage from Sweet Tooth shows us how hybrids – children who are partly animal, partly human – were born. Humans destroyed the earth, nature struggled, everyone got sick, and then hybrids appeared. The show will follow the story of such a hybrid stag boy who has to find a safe haven with his kind, but has to come a long way to do so. He teams up with a wandering loner for protection, and they embark on their epic journey.

Loki

One of June’s biggest streaming releases, Marvel’s Loki series, featured a brand new trailer booking the God of Doom with the Time Variance Authority, aka TVA. He is accused of disrupting the timeline and is charged with restoring order. The show hits Disney Plus on June 9th, with a new episode every Wednesday.

Friends: The goodbye

Last week we saw the first teaser for the friends reunion with the six pals who were walking arm in arm. This week we have a little more than that. The one we’ve been waiting for is here. The new clip shows the cast stepping onto the set of the cult sitcom 17 years after they ended. So many memories, so many emotions and hopefully a lot of laughter.
