What can you expect from this year’s event?
In the UK high street stores, which have seen less traffic in recent years, even fewer buyers are expected for the event in 2020. This is of course due to the limitations of the coronavirus. Online sales, which have seen explosive growth in recent years during Black Friday, will almost certainly see even greater sales growth for the 2020 event.
In recent years, Deep Black Friday discounts have also widened beyond the Friday after Thanksgiving in the US, followed by UK stores. They sometimes started online up to a week in advance. Now, many retailers have announced that they will be offering Black Friday-style discounts in November.
