The latest premium 2-in-1 device from Lenovo, the Yoga C940, has a robust and slim all-metal design and a display that can be rotated 360 degrees in tablet mode. It can also wake up from sleep right away, one of the phone-like features it got courtesy of Intel’s Project Athena. It also includes an active stylus, which you have to buy separately with the Yoga C740, and internal speakers that actually deliver pleasant audio. You can get the C940 with a 14 or 15 inch display. This model is smaller than 14 inches and has an eighth-generation Core i7 CPU, 16 GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD. The RAM is certainly sufficient for the price, but choosing an Intel Core part from the previous generation is a bit stupid. Like the 256GB SSD when 512GB SSDs are offered when you approach $ 1,000. It’s not quite as thin and light as the Yoga C940, but the Yoga C740 still has an all-metal body and a first-class appearance. And while it doesn’t offer all the extras of the C940, you still get features like pen support and a privacy lock for the webcam. It would be difficult for you to find a better laptop for the money. This 15-inch budget model has an AMD Ryzen 3 CPU, 8 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD. I have never seen a 512 GB SSD in such a cheap laptop. At this price, you’re lucky enough to find a 256GB SSD and choose 128GB solid-state storage or more on a much slower, spinning hard drive. The only downside is the screen resolution; The 15.6-inch display has a resolution of 1,366 x 768, which is the norm for entry-level laptops instead of 1,920 x 1,080.
