The 5 best alternatives to PUBG Mobile in India

PUBG mobile alternatives

To say the PUBG Mobile is Popular in India was an understatement. With over 175 million downloads accounting for 24% of lifetime downloads and an active daily user base of over 13 million players, PUBG Mobile was by and large the most popular mobile game in the country. Now that it and PUBG Mobile Lite have both been banned by the Indian government, where do smartphone gamers get their solution from? Here are five of the best alternatives to PUBG Mobile in India.

The best alternatives to PUBG Mobile in India

1. Call of Duty Mobile

When the iconic Call of Duty series finally decided to make its way to cell phones, it got it right. The game is superbly polished, has solid mechanics, PvP modes and of course a Battle Royale mode for 100 players. There’s more than enough content too, including weapons, character unlocks, and more.

2. Fortnite

Fortnite is a little different from the standard shooters you’ll find on this list. What sets it apart is a crafting element that allows you to build walls, weapons, and traps around you. You can even sync your console and PC data to apply your favorite skins.

The only point of criticism? The game needs a pretty beefy smartphone to keep the gameplay running smoothly, so mid-range phones may not make it. Unfortunately, due to ongoing legal disputes, the game is no longer available on the Play Store. 3. Garena Free Fire

Free Fire is another hugely popular mobile battle royale game that hit 100 million top users per day earlier this year. The game is an excellent alternative to PUBG Mobile. It offers up to 150 players and is optimized for shorter game spans of up to 10 minutes.

The game is well polished and allows you to create four man squads including voice chat. Like PUBG Mobile, Free Fire also follows the freemium gameplay model.

4. Battlelands Royale

Battlelands Royale is a little different in that it follows a top-down shooting style. Up to 32 players can take part in short battles of 3 to 5 minutes. The best part? There is very little waiting time and no lobbies. The perfect mobile battle royale game for short series.

5. Pixel’s unknown battlefield

If you ReallyMiss PUBG, this could be right on your street. Pixel’s unknown battlefield is practically a straight-out clone of PUBG with a twist. It uses a Minecraft-style pixel graphics style which gives it a pretty cute look. Apart from that, the mechanics and controls remain very similar to other MOBAs and contain adjustable graphics settings for entry-level smartphones. An all-round solid game well worth trying out.
