Tesla ‘full self-driving’ price will increase by $1,000 on July 1, Elon Musk says
Tesla’s infamous “fully self-propelled“The option will apparently experience a small price hike this summer. Potential buyers will have to pay around $ 1,000 more for this option from July 1st,” Elon Musk tweeted on Monday.
At the moment, the full self-drive package costs $ 7,000, so the price would rise to around $ 8,000. The exact price is unclear, and Musk has not said whether this surcharge will include new features. A Tesla spokesman told Roadshow that they “have nothing to share beyond Elon’s tweet.”
“The FSD price will continue to increase as the software approaches regulatory self-drive.” Musk added in a subsequent tweet. Musk claims that at this point “the value of FSD is probably somewhere over $ 100,000” for whatever that is worth. Tesla last raised the full self-drive price last August.
Despite the name, the “fully self-driving” technology doesn’t turn your Tesla into an autonomous car. There are currently no self-driving cars for sale. Instead, FSD works with the car Autopilot Suite and includes a number of functions including automatic lane change, parallel and vertical parking aid, the function to summon the car to me, Navigate to autopilot Motorway driving aid and finally automatic traffic light and stop sign control. With the next software in the FSD suite, the car can also automatically steer on the city streets.
A video of a Tesla appeared in March Stop at an intersection for a red light for the first time. Musk’s tweet also follows Tesla’s Fremont, California facility will reopen this week, following a bit controversial regarding the restart of the plant without official approval.
