Tesla Battery Day set for September, Elon Musk says 2

Big battery news could be only a few months away.

Tesla

We’re likely to hear some great news about electric car batteries on Tesla’s upcoming battery day, which now has a preliminary date. Battery day was originally scheduled to take place in April or May, but Tesla and CEO Elon Musk did not mention the event as that Coronavirus pandemic put in.

Musk said on Twitter this Sunday that September 15th will be the day we learn what Tesla has in store for this event. The main rumor is that the event has something to do with a “million-mile” battery. China’s CATL has reportedly worked with Tesla to create such a unit, and the company said earlier this month that it did ready to build a battery with enough energy to go 1.24 million miles.

However, CATL did not mention Tesla. However, this could be due to the fact that Tesla has its own version with the help of CATL, which it would like to announce during its battery day. It is rumored that this cobalt-free battery will appear in Chinese built first Model 3 Vehicles, and then possibly drive to cars that are sold in other countries.

Aside from a possible million-mile battery, we’ve also heard of Tesla batteries that don’t use cobalt to cut costs and some purported charging technologies Help cars get back on the grid if possible.
