TL; DR

  • The latest update from Telegram has brought unlimited subscribers to video calls and live streams.
  • It also brings improved forwarding controls and the ability to quickly skip to the next unread channel.

The Telegram team has worked hard to add various features to the service in 2021. Some of the more notable features arriving this year include improved video messaging, group video calling, clubhouse-style voice chats, and improved multimedia tools.

The team just announced another big update, and the headline feature is that you can have unlimited participants if you have a video call in a group or live streaming on a channel. Participants can also raise their hands and contribute to the conversation if you allow.

Telegram flexible forwarding

We now also have the so-called “flexible forwarding” in Telegram, with which you can show / hide the caption and the sender before you click on “forward”. In the preview window you can also change the recipient in case you accidentally tapped the wrong chat.

Another notable addition to Telegram this time around is the ability to skip to the next channel. More specifically, when you scroll to the end of a channel, a prompt will appear that allows you to swipe up to go to the next unread channel. Scroll to the end of that channel and you will see the same prompt again if another unread channel is waiting for you.

Other notable additions include larger stickers suggestion previews, new animated emojis, unread channel comments counters, and trending stickers.
