It’s a fantastic time to be a PC player because Steam’s Summer Sale is officially live. There are hundreds of discounted titles, an unusually high percentage of which is worth your time. This includes some games from two or three years ago that you may have missed, such as the excellent Outer Wilds, but also some AAA games from the past six months, such as Doom Eternal.
Search sales and you will surely find something you wanted to play. But if you don’t have time for it in this second, here is our selection of remarkable games that are now discounted. The summer sale lasts until July 9th.
id software / Bethesda
Doom Eternal was only released a few months ago in March, which makes this 50% discount even sweeter. Eternal is a continuation of the 2016 Doom restart, where the series is likely to be gnarlier than ever. There is a decent platform in Eternal, but the main thing is to destroy demons. You can get this stress relief at half price until July 9th.
Rockstar Games
The discount on Rockstar’s latest blockbuster isn’t as high as other games on this list, but it rarely happens that games of the caliber Red Dead Redemption 2 are discounted online at all. Take the 20% discount as long as you can.
Valve
Here is another new AAA game on the list. Half-Life: Alyx is a VR game that takes place between the first and second Half-Life title. Not only is it the best reason to own VR hardware, it’s a fantastic game in itself.
Mobius Digital
Outer Wilds is an adventure / puzzle game about discovery. You are on a distant planet, 22 minutes before the Sun Supernovae and destroys everything. Fortunately, you are in a time loop. In Outer Wilds you will slowly find out how to save the world – 22 minutes each. It sounds strange, but it was one of the most famous games of 2019.
Rock star
Seven years after its original release, GTA V is still a hot ticket item. That’s because the game still has a lively (and messy) online community. Even if you played the game on Xbox 360 or PS3, it is still worth buying it now – with a 50% discount – for the online campaign. After all, GTA VI doesn’t come that quickly.
Team ninja
Nioh isn’t one of the best-selling games of this generation, but it can be one of the best. A new franchise from Team Ninja, the gang that brought you to Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden. It’s like dark souls with samurai. The total cost is currently $ 25.
Another new one – Need For Speed: by July 9th, heat is reduced by 60%, even though it is well under a year old. Heat was launched last November and once again causes Need for Speed to escape the fluff where the franchise is often best.
Capcom
So, The Last of Us Part 2 is out and it’s incredible. But what if you’re after a horror experience and don’t have a PlayStation 4? Don’t be upset, Resident Evil 2, a great remake of the 1998 PlayStation 1 game, offers 50% off until July 9th.
Take-Two interactive software
If you want to get lost in a strategy game, few have a higher pedigree than Sid Meier’s Cililization franchise. It got predictably positive reviews at launch and is reduced by 75% until July 9th.
EA
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a rare type of game. It’s based on an extremely popular franchise, but it’s also … really good. You have to take in really strong licensed games if you can. As one of the biggest blockbusters in late 2019, it will be $ 30 by July 9.
Matt makes games
If you’re looking for more indie fair, Celeste is known to be difficult – and touching. It was released in 2018, so you’ve probably heard a lot about it. If this 2D platformer was on your To Play list, now is the time to delete it. Celeste is 50% off until July 9th.
2K
Borderlands 3 is the fourth main game in the franchise (such a deceptive title) and one of the most hyped releases of 2019. It is a colorful, stylish first person shooter with a huge selection of weapons that can be used to destroy intergalactic enemies. By July 9, it’s $ 30.
