Beyond Meat products will be available in Starbucks Chinese menus for the first time starting Wednesday CNBC.

The world’s largest coffee chain announced that the new menu offers burgers and pasta with vegetable beef products from Beyond Meat. It will also contain an herbal pork alternative called Omnipork and a popular non-milk milk called Oatley.

The largest coffee chain in the world has reopened much of its business in China, where the outbreak of the corona virus appears to be slowing.

By starting with Starbucks, Beyond meat has entered the Chinese market for the first time. The Los Angeles-based company has shown interest in expanding to Asia, where modern vegetable meat products are not as common as in the United States or Europe.

Vegetable meat producers like Beyond Meat and Impossible food market their products as more sustainable and environmentally friendly than conventional meat. They hope to convince meat eaters around the world to reduce their meat consumption or to forego a plant-based diet while increasing awareness of climate change.

Both Starbucks and Beyond Meat did not immediately respond to requests for comments.
