Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge will bring you on VR Disney Parks trip
Galaxy Park’s Edge from Disney Parks remains the ultimate Star Wars experience, and ILMxLAB will bring it home later this year. Lucasfilm’s virtual reality studio announced on Thursday that it was working on Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge in collaboration with Facebook’s Oculus Studios.
The VR adventure takes place on the fringes of Batuus Black Spire Outpost between the events of The last Jedi and The rise of Skywalkerand seems a less sith-y version of 2019 Vader Immortal. It contains “new and iconic characters” from the franchise and offers various levels of play and difficulty.
“This action-packed adventure not only addresses the promise of connected and complementary experiences by expanding the lore around the Black Spire Outpost, but also represents another important step in ILMxLAB’s endeavor to move from storytelling – one-way communication – to StoryLIVING in a world where you make consistent decisions that drive your experience, “said Vicki Dobbs Beck, ILMxLAB executive in charge, in a press release.

With Disney Parks still closed Due to the corona virus pandemic, this VR adventure seems to be for people who had to put their vacation plans on Galaxy’s Edge on hold this summer. This company also published one Mickey centered AR experience earlier this month.
“Now our guests can immerse themselves in these stories both inside and outside our parks,” said Scott Trowbridge, managing director of Disney Imagineering, in the press release.
