Speed Test G: OnePlus Nord CE vs Google Pixel 4a
OnePlus has just launched a new mid-ranger, the OnePlus Nord CE (the “CE” stands for “Core Edition”). Meanwhile, last year’s Google Pixel 4a is still a viable competitor. But who would win in a battle between OnePlus Nord CE and Google Pixel 4a with the Speed Test G-Suite? Well, that’s exactly what we wanted to find out.
Our own Gary Sims put the two phones together to see which one offers the best raw processing performance. It’s probably no surprise to know that the Nord CE easily wins in every category. This is mainly because the processor is a Snapdragon 750G, while the processor of the Pixel 4a is the weaker Snapdragon 730G.

But even if you know the results of the OnePlus Nord CE vs. Google Pixel 4a, does that really matter? Sure, the Nord CE may have a more powerful processor, but the Pixel 4a trumps it in a number of ways. The Pixel 4a has a better camera (even with fewer lenses on the back!) And a far better software update schedule.
Granted, the Pixel 4a is also a bit more expensive than the Nord CE’s price of £ 299, at £ 349. Still, the Pixel 4a offers a lot above the Nord CE, so it’s not just about raw numbers. Let us know what you think in the comments!
